Today, on 7/7/07, I made a purchase that added up to $7.77.
So, where's my luck?
If I'm to believe all the superstitions about three 7's, then this should indicate that good luck is coming my way...
Or perhaps my luck was that the salad and water I purchased for $7.77 was contaminated. With all the contaminated food floating around, I'll take what I can get!

If you want "Lucky Money" you can go to the Bureau of Engraving and Printing at www.bep.treas.gov and buy some. They offer the Asian Lucky 8888 serial number bills as well as Lucky 7's.
I wonder why 8's are lucky in Asia and 7's in the west? I guess there's no accounting for superstition.
I drove by a store near my apartment today. It's called "Lucky Money". I think it's a check cashing place. 10 to 1 it's owned by an asian. For some reason they like names like this - i.e. "The Best Barber Shop" or "Great Deal Fast Food"
